In the Community

As someone deeply committed to fostering happy, healthy communities, I’ve always been actively engaged with voluntary groups, NGOs, causes, activism, charities, both locally and nationally.

Some of my local engagements include:

  • Founding member of Bray for Love, a group that aims to spread the message that our town is welcoming and inclusive
  • Founding member of the North Wicklow Women’s Shed, a group that aims to provide a safe space where women can reconnect together
  • Sat on the leadership committee for North Wicklow Together for Yes and led the most Bray canvas teams during the 2018 referendum campaign
  • Active member of Bray Toastmasters
  • Active member of Network Ireland Wicklow branch

Some of my national engagements include:

  • Current co-Chair of the national Fine Gael Women’s Network (FGWN), representing FineGael at the National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWC)
  • Served on the board of Saoirse Domestic Violence Services, also Vice Chair of board
  • Served as a Childline (ISPCC) 24hr helpline volunteer
  • Currently on the board of Women in Science & Technology (WITS) Ireland.
  • Currently mentor to young people through both Dr Katriona O’Sullivan’s STEM Passport for Inclusion (Maynooth University) & TrailblazHer’s MentorHer programme (TU Dublin).
